Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead power design for data centers and mission critical systems in Austin, TX. You will stamp drawings, own studies, and mentor a team of designers on major projects, all on a solid national platform with strong client exposure.

You will contribute from design through startup, collaborating with clients, contractors, and field teams, and you will bring a PE license (Texas or comity) and extensive SKM/ETAP experience to this growing practice.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of electrical power design experience
• PE license strongly preferred (Texas or able to obtain by comity)
• Data center or mission critical power design experience
• Hands-on with NEC, NFPA 70E, and IEEE standards

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical power distribution design for data center, commercial, and industrial projects
• Perform and review short circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow, and voltage drop studies in SKM and ETAP
• Design and specify switchgear, UPS, PDUs, generators, transformers, and relay protection
• Seal and sign drawings and calculations as Engineer of Record
• Mentor and review the work of electrical designers and junior engineers
• Work directly with clients, contractors, and field teams from design through startup
