Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer in Manhattan Beach, CA, to lead the AVE SE&I team on the Sentinel program. You will direct electrical design, wiring diagrams, layouts, and roadmaps across system elements.

You will manage power analysis and ensure on-time delivery while mentoring engineers and coordinating with multiple disciplines to meet program milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 5+ years related experience; or 3 years with a master; or 1 year with a PhD.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required at time of application with ability to obtain SAP approval within a reasonable period.
• Experience in formal management or leadership including performance reviews for direct reports.
• Control Account Management (CAM) experience.
• Electrical design and/or electrical integration experience.
• Leadership and collaboration across organizations to deliver program results.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of electrical engineers for AVE System Engineering & Integration.
• Create and integrate system wiring diagrams, layouts, roadmaps, and models across elements.
• Oversee signal-quality analysis to deliver engineering products for the Sentinel missile.
• Lead power allocation management and end-to-end power analysis.
• Ensure on-time delivery while upholding quality-first standards.
• Mentor engineers and support career development.
• Brief status, risks, and technical challenges to directors and VP levels.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and organizations.
