Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Roy, UT is seeking an Electrical Engineer at the Principal level to support the Sentinel program. This full-time role involves leading electrical design tasks, coordinating with other engineering teams, and ensuring compliance with DoD standards.

You will analyze subsystems, develop PDPs/ADPs, review schematics and wiring diagrams, and participate in milestones and reviews.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Ability to obtain SAP approval within a reasonable period of time.
• Familiarity with industry/military standards and codes (IEC, NEC, NFPA, IEC 60332, IEEE 299, UL, NEC 770, ISO 9001).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong written and verbal communication for preparing technical reports and presenting design concepts.
• Experience with electrical designs and/or analysis of subsystems or components.

Responsibilities

• Attend internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings.
• Support formal program milestone reviews and provide progress updates.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with diverse assignments and cross-functional collaboration.
• Coordinate electrical design content and work products with other teams.
• Develop PDPs/ADPs and take them through reviews and release.
• Review engineering deliverables such as schematics, wiring diagrams, datasheets and interconnect diagrams.
• Perform research, trade studies, evaluation and systems integration in electrical or electro-mechanical domains.
• Demonstrate understanding of system interdependencies and design constraints.
