Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical engineering across regional and global Data Center Design and Construction teams. You will act as the senior technical reviewer for complex electrical systems, ensuring quality, managing risks, and elevating global standards with technical leadership and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Typically 10+ years of relevant data center, mission-critical, or major technical capital programs.
• In-depth knowledge of critical power systems, power-system studies, protective relay coordination, codes/standards, and commissioning requirements.
• Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
• Ability to balance power architecture, resilience, costs, efficiency, and schedule risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical strategy, design criteria, and review gates for major data center builds and deployments.
• Review consultant designs, calculations, specifications, and submittals; develop and maintain global standard designs.
• Lead evaluations for HV/MV/LV distribution, standby generation, UPS, battery storage, grounding, and power quality.
• Partner with Supply Chain on OFCI equipment and drive root-cause investigations for incidents to improve standards.
• Mentor and collaborate across Design Management, Construction, Commissioning, Operations, and Solutions Engineering.
