Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical engineering for regional and global data center design and construction teams. You will act as a senior technical reviewer, ensuring quality, managing risks, and raising global discipline capability through leadership and mentorship.

You will oversee complex power systems, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and develop scalable design standards while traveling up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data center/critical power programs.
• In-depth knowledge of power systems, protective relays, interconnections, commissioning.
• Ability to balance architecture, resilience, cost, efficiency, and schedules.
• Strong influence without direct authority; excellent communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical strategy and design criteria for major data center projects.
• Review consultant designs, develop global standard designs and govern deviations.
• Lead evaluations for interconnections, HV/MV/LV distribution, UPS, batteries, grounding, and power quality.
• Drive OFCI equipment strategies and investigate incidents for lessons learned.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across Design, Construction, Operations, and Solutions.
