Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Rocky Hill, CT to lead electrical design for building and power systems, including BESS projects. You will develop layouts, one-line diagrams, specs, and construction documents while coordinating with multi-discipline teams.

Expect to travel up to 10% and mentor junior staff, delivering quality design packages and supporting client relations as part of HDR's Power Generation group.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
• Knowledge of NEC and electrical codes
• Ability to travel up to 10% domestically/internationally

Responsibilities

• Support grid-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects from concept to Construction design packages.
• Develop electrical design plans, specs, cost estimates and construction documents.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, fire & life safety, HV electrical, SCADA/telecom, water and geotechnical engineers.
• Provide technical support during construction and client interactions.
