Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Melbourne, Florida is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead hardware design for CNS systems. You will work with a small team on complex schematics, layout, and qualification across sustaining and new design activities, while ensuring compliance with aviation standards.

This onsite role offers collaboration across engineering disciplines and opportunities to influence technical direction.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Must be a U.S. Person.
• Proven electrical design engineering experience.
• Experience generating schematics and board layouts.
• Experience with embedded processors and RF systems.
• Hands-on debugging of complex electrical hardware.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, generate, and update complex electrical schematics and board layouts.
• Develop hardware requirement changes and manage baselines.
• Design, analyze, test, qualify, and document high-complexity hardware.
• Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and manufacturing engineering.
• Apply Collins processes and tools to drive quality and customer satisfaction.
• Support production teams and troubleshoot issues.
• Contribute to engineering estimates for electrical design efforts.
