Lippert is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to design, validate, and lead electrical modules for automotive applications. You will mentor engineers, review requirements, coordinate testing, and support customer discussions.

This on-site role in Wixum, MI emphasizes design for reliability and compliance. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of experience, a Master’s in EE, and a track record of successful product launches.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Preferred P.E. license.
• 10+ years of relevant experience developing and launching products.
• Strong system-level design and compliance expertise.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Define and oversee electrical architecture for new products.
• Lead analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
• Guide prototyping and validation against design requirements.
• Collaborate with product managers, mechanical and software teams.
• Conduct design reviews for quality and manufacturability.
• Ensure compliance with UL/CE/FCC/RoHS standards.
• Lead root-cause analysis of electrical failures.
• Incorporate reliability, thermal management and EMI/EMC best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Develop design processes, documentation standards, and testing protocols.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and IP development.
• Assist with timeline and budget oversight per Product Development Process.
