Job summary

HI-LEX CONTROLS INC in Rochester Hills, MI seeks an experienced engineer for end-to-end design of new automotive systems. You will lead concepts, validate interfaces, and drive robust product development for demanding customer specs.

The role requires a 4-year engineering degree, 10+ years in automotive design, strong leadership, and proficiency with CATIA V5 and CAE tools. On-site work with travel to supplier sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in mechanical engineering or engineering technology or equivalent field.
• Thorough knowledge of engineering practices ( GD&T, DOE, FMEA, DFM, CAD, statistical analysis ).
• 10+ years of experience in Automotive Engineering and Design.

Responsibilities

• Develops new concepts and products aligned with Hi-Lex objectives.
• Provide technical leadership to internal teams and customers across stages.
• Lead design studies, 3D models, drawings and reliability testing.
• Drive VA/VE cost reduction and manufacturing ease improvements.
• Mentor engineers and technicians; support QA and program management.
