Electrical Engineer – Robotics Systems (Confidential Startup)

Austin, TX | Full-Time | On-Site

I'm partnering with a cutting-edge robotics startup in Austin that’s transforming warehouse automation. They’re hiring an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead panel design, manufacturing processes, and vendor coordination for robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, upgrade, and troubleshoot electrical panels to improve performance and scalability
  • Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs; ensure compliance with UL508A
  • Prototype and iterate systems; document manufacturing processes
  • Oversee vendor selection and quality control for outsourced panel builds
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems teams
  • Create and execute testing protocols; resolve electrical issues in both R&D and production

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
  • 3+ years in panel design and build, hands-on wiring, testing, and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN)
  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards and robotic / automation systems is a plus
  • Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills
