Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Brown and Caldwell has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing team. We seek a candidate with broad experience in electrical design and management, including:

1. Design and equipment upgrades
2. Power system studies, including arc flash hazards analysis
3. Low and medium voltage power distribution system design in industrial settings
4. Equipment design and selection such as motor control centers, drives, switchgear, panelboards, and transformers
5. Drawing creation including power plans, layouts, one-lines, and wiring diagrams for plant power

Location & Work Arrangement

Remote work is permitted. Ideally, based near a BC office in the Pacific Northwest (Seattle, Portland, Boise). Remote/virtual from anywhere in Mountain or West Coast time zones is also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project task manager or lead discipline engineer
• Scope, budget, and coordinate project execution
• Manage electrical designs to meet deadlines and budgets
• Support business development efforts
• Mentor junior staff
• Review contractor submittals and RFI documents
• Produce reports and technical documents
• Collaborate with national technical teams

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering
• Professional registration or ability to obtain within 6 months
• At least 10 years' experience in water/wastewater industries
• Experience with Revit/BIM, AutoCAD P&ID
• Power system software experience (SKM, ETAP, EasyPower)
• Knowledge of industrial power systems and NEC
• Effective communication skills
• Self-motivated, able to multi-task, work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• 15+ years' experience
• Design Build project experience
• Additional certifications (PMP, LEED, CESCP)
• Renewable energy experience (solar, wind, cogeneration)

Salary Ranges

Location A: $118,000 - $161,000

Location B: $130,000 - $177,000

Location C: $142,000 - $194,000
