Job Overview

POWER Engineers, part of WSP, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Government Services Division. This role involves engaging in engineering design projects within the government market, including mission-critical infrastructure such as power systems, renewable energy, MEP design, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineering teams, interface with clients, and manage projects to successful completion within budget and schedule.
• Create construction drawings, specifications, studies, and reports.
• Design grounding, lightning, surge protection, lighting, relaying, power generation, switchgear, substations, and UPS systems.
• Apply standards such as NEC, NFPA, ICC, UFC, and IEEE; model electrical systems using ETAP, PTW, or EasyPower.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• PE license with multi-state licensing ability.
• 15+ years of experience in designing low and medium-voltage power and lighting systems for federal, industrial, and commercial projects.
• Expertise in switchgear and substation design.
• Ability to perform all electrical engineering tasks independently.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel and ability to work remotely if needed.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with NAVFAC and USACE standards.
• Experience with SpecsIntact, CAD, Revit, MicroStation.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.
• Experience with mission-critical infrastructure projects.
