Brown and Caldwell - Senior Electrical Engineer

Brown and Caldwell has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing team. We seek a candidate with broad experience in electrical design and management, including:

• Design and equipment upgrades
• Power system studies, including arc flash hazards analysis
• Low and medium voltage power distribution system design in industrial settings
• Equipment design and selection (motor control centers, drives, switchgear, panelboards, transformers)
• Drawing creation (power plans, layouts, one-lines, wiring diagrams)

Work Location & Flexibility

Remote work is permitted. Ideally, the role is based near a BC office in the Pacific Northwest (Seattle, Portland, Boise). Remote/virtual work from anywhere in Mountain or West Coast time zones is possible for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

1. Serve as project task manager or lead electrical and I&C engineer.
2. Scope, budget, and coordinate project execution and staff assignments.
3. Manage electrical designs to meet deadlines and budgets.
4. Support business development efforts.
5. Mentor junior staff.
6. Review contractor submittals and RFI documents.
7. Produce technical reports and documents.
8. Collaborate with national technical teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
• Professional registration or ability to obtain within 6 months
• At least 10 years' experience in water/wastewater industries
• Experience with Revit/BIM and AutoCAD P&ID
• Knowledge of power system software (SKM, ETAP, EasyPower)
• Experience in industrial power systems design
• Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E standards
• Strong communication skills
• Self-motivated, able to multi-task and work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• 15+ years' experience preferred
• Design Build project experience
• Certifications (PMP, LEED, CESCP)
• Experience with renewable energy (solar, wind)

Salary Ranges

• Location A: $118,000 - $161,000
• Location B: $130,000 - $177,000
• Location C: $142,000 - $194,000
