Job summary

Helion in Everett, WA is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to lead the build, integration, and troubleshooting of complex electromechanical systems powering our fusion generators. This onsite role reports to Production supervision and collaborates with design engineers, test engineers, and production leadership.

You will translate evolving designs into executable builds, develop processes and tools, and drive repeatable, scalable build practices while mentoring technicians to uphold high

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience with electrical/electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read and apply schematics and instrumentation data.
• Experience in prototype, R&D, or high-mix production environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead assembly, integration, and bring-up of complex electromechanical systems.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and system-level failures using proper methods.
• Develop and standardize work instructions, processes, and test procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers during prototype development and rapid iteration.
• Design fixtures and test setups to improve build quality and efficiency.
• Drive root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor technicians on troubleshooting and safety practices.
• Identify gaps in workflows and drive improvements.
• Maintain safety, quality, and execution standards in HV and high-energy environments.
