Job summary

Helion Energy in Everett, WA is hiring an Engineering Technician to develop and maintain fusion generators and related maintenance processes, procedures, and tooling. You will help develop hardware, lead full-scale builds, and coach fellow technicians on the Build Team.

You will report directly to our Build Manager at our Everett, WA campus. You will collaborate with engineers, technicians, and managers to design, assemble, test, and troubleshoot electromechanical systems and fixtures, and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a mechanical or electrical technician.
• Experience using light fabrication tools (power tools, mills, lathes, etc.).
• Experience with CAD modeling.
• Read and understand technical drawings, manuals, and reports.
• Efficient use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook for documentation and communication.
• Bonus: Experience designing parts/fixtures in CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and managers to design, assemble, test, and troubleshoot electromechanical systems and fixtures.
• Design and fabricate fixtures and jigs to aid in the assembly/repair of electromechanical components.
• Own process development and work instruction creation for energy bank maintenance.
• Design, build, and perform mechanical and electrical tests on parts and assemblies.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met throughout the production process.
