Job summary

Helion is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for on-site work at our Everett, WA office. You will own the manufacturing, assembly, and deployment of subsystems for fusion generators, collaborating with design and production to ensure manufacturability throughout the design process.

Requirements include a bachelor’s in engineering, 5+ years in multidisciplinary hardware manufacturing, hands-on cross-discipline experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing, assembly, or integration of multidisciplinary hardware.
• Hands-on experience across mechanical, electrical, and fluids disciplines.
• Experience with CAD software to create models/drawings (NX, SolidWorks).
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of a build.
• Strong technical communication across teams and levels.

Responsibilities

• Define build and assembly definition and execution for generator subsystems.
• Author work instructions for technician teams for nominal builds and nonconformance resolution.
• Design and manufacture tooling to enable efficient assembly and installation.
• Collaborate with production, integration and engineering on prototypes and demonstrators.
• Drive configuration management, workmanship quality, and pace of execution.
• Own lifecycle of parts from purchase to final assembly to improve low-volume builds.
