Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Supervising Discipline Engineer, Electrical (Power Generation) to lead electrical engineering and design activities on projects in a hybrid Mount Laurel, NJ setting. You will create equipment specifications, perform critical electrical analyses, and guide the development and delivery of electrical design documents with a focus on reliability and safety.

The role requires PE status and strong experience in power generation.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) status required.
• Strong technical skills in electrical or mechanical engineering with a focus on conventional generation power plant development.
• Ability to manage work within the electrical discipline and ensure correct delivery of all work products.
• Experience in power generation, BOM, design engineering, and project engineering.

Responsibilities

• Create equipment specifications for transformers, switchgear, MCCs and UPS/DC.
• Conduct electrical studies including short circuit, voltage drop, coordination and arc flash studies using OTI-ETAP.
• Prepare electrical design documents: single-line diagrams, panel schedules, schematics, wiring diagrams, and raceway drawings.
• Supervise and review proposals, schedules and budgets; monitor and report on budget/schedule performance; provide technical leadership.
• Coordinate activities with clients, contractors, vendors and other project team members.
