Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Sr Electrical Engineer for our Blue Bell, PA location. The role involves leading projects from feasibility to detailed design and acting as a technical expert in electrical systems.

You will collaborate with project managers, coordinate with clients, and oversee a design team across multiple concurrent assignments. The position requires hands-on design work, calculations (short circuit, arc flash, load studies), and ensuring code compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience with leadership responsibility.
• BS in Electrical Engineering required; PE license preferred.
• Proficiency in electrical design calculations and software tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from feasibility through design documentation and client coordination.
• Break down scope, manage budget, and allocate staff with PM guidance.
• Prepare scope of work and perform electrical design calculations.
• Review existing systems and ensure code compliance with officials.
• Coordinate with clients, other design professionals, and contractors.
• Perform short circuit, arc flash, load studies, and conduit sizing calculations.
• Review contractor payments and monitor project progress.
• Mentor design staff and develop standards.
