Job summary

Aecon Engineering Services Inc. (United) seeks an experienced Electrical Supervising Engineer to lead electrical design for power generation and heavy industrial projects across the U.S. This role will manage scope, schedule and budgets while supervising a team of electrical engineers.

Positions are available in Mt. Laurel, NJ or Charlotte, NC, with responsibilities from conception through construction and collaboration with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from a four-year college or university.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license in any US state with ability to comity.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in electrical design for power plants or heavy industrial facilities.
• Familiarity with plant design processes and generating drawings (schematics, wiring diagrams).
• Familiarity with IEEE, EPRI, industry codes and standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interface with project team, clients, contractors and vendors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Create equipment specifications, data sheets, calculations, and analysis for control processes.
• Prepare electrical design documents including single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and wiring diagrams.
• Lead design activities, review proposals, schedules and budgets, and provide technical leadership.
• Coordinate activities with clients, contractors, vendors and project team members.
• Manage electrical project activities from conception through construction, including site work support.
