Job summary

Progressive Companies seeks an Electrical Engineering Designer III to lead electrical design from concept through construction, building power system models, running studies, and preparing specifications. You will review others' work, write work plans, and guide junior designers while coordinating with in-house and external teams.

You will manage field data collection, ensure NEC/IEC compliance, and drive projects to client milestones with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design on assigned projects, concept through construction.
• Own power system analysis; run studies and build models from field data.
• Write work plans and schedules; manage permitting and agency reviews.
• Take complex systems through NEC/IEC reviews and close out comments.
• Coordinate projects across disciplines and discuss with consultants.
• Perform construction administration: respond to RFIs and review submittals.
• Backstop quality by reviewing calculations and drawings with junior staff.
• Mentor junior designers to reach independent design work.
