Job summary

McKinstry seeks a Senior Designer – Electrical in Spokane, WA to lead electrical design across life science facilities and high-performance buildings. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, ensure design excellence, and collaborate with project management and construction throughout the project lifecycle.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in mechanical/electrical design, a PE license, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit with energy-modeling know-how.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical design experience in high-performance buildings.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field; P.E. registration required.
• P.E. registration is required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with energy modeling and life-cycle analysis.
• LEED AP credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of electrical spaces and built environments.
• Supervise and mentor the design and engineering team.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Sales and Estimating across project lifecycles.
• Develop energy-efficient design proposals and cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare design budgets and respond to owner needs during design.
