Job summary

McKinstry in Spokane, WA is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our growing team. You will help design and manage electrical projects, coordinate with general contractors, architects, and owners, and support RFP and procurement activities.

The role requires at least three years in engineering, project management, or construction, a BA/BS in a related field, OSHA 30, and proficiency with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera or Suretrak.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in engineering, project management or construction.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Electrical experience is a plus.
• Experience working for a General Contractor or Major Mechanical Subcontractor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the RFP and procurement process and track current and future jobs.
• Coordinate equipment procurement with the purchasing department and outside vendors.
• Schedule and develop the scope of work with subcontractors; assist in monthly financial reporting.
• Communicate with general contractors, architects, engineers, and owners.
• Work closely with the project management team and respond to questions from superintendents and field workers.
• Create and respond to RFIs and track submittals.
• Develop, process, and track equipment, materials, and submittals.
• Create site-specific work plans and maintenance manuals for clients.
• Process change orders and prepare billing breakdowns and estimates.
