Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an Electrical Senior Engineering Technician - Power Generation Designer to support advanced power generation facilities. The role emphasizes electrical design, 2D/3D drafting, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across markets.

You will contribute to lighting and electrical systems, leverage Bentley MicroStation and AGI32, and ensure deliverables meet project budgets and schedules. This position offers hybrid work arrangements and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Typically a minimum of 11 years related work experience.
• Must complete pre-employment onboarding: background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.
• Onboarding requirements may include additional checks in compliance with laws.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a senior engineering technician, technical design specialist, and/or supervisor.
• Applies advanced technical expertise to solve complex design challenges within a specific engineering discipline.
• Contributes to the development of innovative engineering solutions.
• Uses CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling tools with standard procedures to create and maintain drawings and deliverables.
• Provides consultation, training, and oversight to other technicians to ensure quality and project standards.
• Reviews design inputs to ensure alignment and consistency with codes and client needs.
• Promotes quality and consistency across projects and teams.
• May coordinate presentations, production design, and use of electronic design tools.
