Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineering Technician for Nuclear Design. The role focuses on creating and modifying electrical design drawings using Bentley MicroStation, BIM tools, and related software to support nuclear projects.

The candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team and may perform field support and basic design calculations. Experience with AGI32 for lighting design is preferred, and the position is hybrid with potential relocation considerations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate required.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions in a project engineering technician capacity.
• Supports engineering and design teams by developing and modifying technical deliverables.
• Uses CAD/BIM tools to create, modify, and maintain drawings and project deliverables.
• Provides technical guidance to other engineers and technicians.
• Reviews design inputs for consistency and codes/standards compliance.
• May define work assignments and maintain schedules.
• May support field activities.
