Job summary

Quanta Government Solutions seeks a Senior Lead Electrical Designer to drive electrical scope across fast-track projects. You will develop 2D/3D layouts, manage 3D models, and ensure constructability while coordinating with engineering, procurement and field teams.

Responsibilities include leading design reviews, resolving clashes, and mentoring junior designers. Travel to project sites may be required, with a focus on delivering compliant, buildable solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of electrical design experience on large projects.
• At least 5 years in a senior or lead designer role.
• Experience developing medium- and low-voltage power distribution layouts.
• Ability to read one-line diagrams, schematics and schedules.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design tools; Revit (MEP) and Navisworks preferred.
• Working knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70, 70E, 110, IEEE/ANSI and NESC codes.
• Experience supporting construction RFIs, redlines and as-builts.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical scope design and modeling for complex facilities.
• Coordinate layouts with civil-structural, mechanical and field teams.
• Review vendor drawings for footprints, terminations and clearances.
• Ensure constructability, procure-ability and compliance with standards.
• Mentor designers and help establish team drafting standards.
• Support project manager with scope, deliverables and schedules.
