Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join our fast-paced EPC team supporting projects across the power sector, including gas turbines, renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and transmission systems.

In this role, you will create precise electrical designs and construction packages that drive project success while ensuring quality, accuracy, and seamless coordination across engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field.
Minimum 7 years of electrical design experience in EPC/power environments.
Strong NEC and electrical construction practices knowledge.
Proficiency with AutoCAD (2D); 3D is a plus, Revit and Navisworks knowledge; MS Office proficiency.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and within project teams.

Responsibilities

Produce electrical installation details, single-line diagrams, and layouts.
Perform calculations for lighting, voltage drop, conduit sizing, and overcurrent protection.
Determine MCC and substation loading requirements.
Develop installation documents from vendor drawings and specs.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated designs.
Provide onsite support during construction, startup, and commissioning.
Assist with cost estimation and scheduling.
Participate in design reviews to ensure compliance.
