Job summary

ArchKey Solutions LLC is seeking an Engineering Design Lead to guide a team of engineers and designers in producing high-quality electrical drawings, 3D models, and construction documents for complex electrical installations.

The role combines advanced engineering expertise and people leadership to ensure designs are safe, code-compliant, and constructible across Design/Build and large hyper-scale projects. Mentorship and continuous improvement are emphasized.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 12 years of design engineering experience or 8 years with a PE license and demonstrated success leading engineering teams on small to mid-size projects.
Extensive experience in facilities power design, including lighting, receptacle layouts, circuiting, panelboard schedules, load calculations, and equipment sizing.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a small team of engineers and designers, developing electrical permit drawings, 3D models, and construction docs.
Develop and review engineering calculations and reports including arc flash, short circuit, and duct bank ampacity.
Provide technical direction, constructability guidance, and risk mitigation for project teams.
Review designs for code compliance and company best practices; lead outside engineering document reviews.
Support value engineering, scope development, and constructability planning.
Lead engineering design-related training and mentor engineers and designers.
