Job summary

Beeby Anderson Recruitment is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a fully remote role. You will lead electrical building services design across residential, commercial and industrial sectors, collaborating with clients, architects and engineers to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions from concept to completion.

You will mentor junior engineers, ensure compliance with industry standards, and contribute to low‑carbon design strategies while working from home with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ experience in electrical building services design
• Strong technical capability across LV distribution, lighting, renewable systems and sustainable design
• Proficient in industry software: AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech/ProDesign, BIM platforms
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment
• Ideally working toward or holding IEng/CEng registration

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for power, lighting, fire safety, renewable systems and low‑carbon technologies
• Produce detailed calculations, schematics, layouts and technical documentation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across BIM, MEP, sustainability and structural engineering
• Support BREEAM, PassivHaus and LZC design strategies
• Provide expert guidance to clients and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles
• Ensure compliance with UK regulations, industry standards and best practice
