Job summary

Applied Engineering is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to lead power distribution, conversion, and controls across major subsystems. The role emphasizes rigorous design, validation, and cross-functional collaboration in a remote-friendly setting within the United States.

You will own schematics, BOMs, and testing protocols, and will travel up to 20% within the USA. BS in EE with ~5+ years of experience is required; proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and ETAP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Approximately 5+ years of industrial electrical design experience.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, conversion, monitoring, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and validation for subsystems and product areas.
• Own schematics, drawings, specs, and BOMs.
• Drive design reviews, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with mechanical, systems, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and project teams.
• Mentor early-career engineers and uphold electrical standards.
