Job summary

Duke Energy’s Robinson Nuclear Station CDE Electrical Team seeks an Electrical Design Engineer III or Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support design changes for AC/DC systems, motors, transformers, switchgear and related equipment.

Ideal candidates hold an ABET‑accredited engineering degree, have 4+ years of engineering experience, and are prepared to obtain PE licensure where required. Nuclear experience and ETAP skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1 year of nuclear power plant experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience.
• A Master’s degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. engineering degree.
• State registration as a Professional Engineer may be required at Senior level in some departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop scope, technical basis, installation and testing requirements for engineering design changes.
• Provide engineering/technical guidance on increasing scope/complexity.
• Contribute to team decision-making with planning, scheduling and monitoring of work.
