Job summary

Savannah River Mission Completion seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to be based in Aiken, SC, supporting the Savannah River Site and DOE standards. The role focuses on designing electrical systems and ensuring compliance with relevant codes.

You will develop SLDs and control schematics, perform calculations, size equipment, and prepare data sheets. You will participate in vendor reviews, CGD, and provide project/ facility engineering support while driving continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college
• Knowledge of IEC, NEC, NFPA, NEMA, IEEE, and OSHA codes and standards
• Experience with DCS and PLC interfaces
• Proficiency with 2D MicroStation v8

Responsibilities

• Develop Single Line Diagrams; Controls Schematics; Circuit/Raceway/Wiring/Connections, Grounding, and Heat Tracing design
• Perform technical calculations
• Select and size electrical equipment
• Develop electrical equipment procurement requirements, specifications, and data sheets
• Perform vendor drawing reviews, design reviews, and CGD
• Provide project and facility engineering support
• Collaborate on process improvements
• Other duties as assigned
