Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) seeks a Senior I&C Design Engineer to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site. The I&C Engineer will implement DOE standards and lead design efforts in instrumentation and control systems for the SRMC project.

Responsibilities include creating P&IDs, control diagrams, instrument loops, and associated drawings, performing calculations, sizing instruments, and reviewing vendor drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with professional engineering experience.
• Knowledge of national codes and standards.
• Experience with DCS and PLC interfaces.
• Proficiency with 2D MicroStation v8 CAD.

Responsibilities

• Develop P&IDs, Control Logic Diagrams, Instrument Loops Drawings, Segment Drawings, and Instrument Location and Installation Drawings.
• Perform technical calculations.
• Select and size instruments and control valves.
• Develop procurement requirements, specifications, and data sheets.
• Perform vendor drawing reviews, design reviews, and CGD.
• Take technical ownership for a program or unit operations within processing facilities.
• Plan and develop conventional engineering solutions using SRMC methodologies.
• Provide project and facility engineering support.
• Collaborate to implement innovative process improvements.
