Job summary

Jobot is hiring an Electrical Design Engineer in Fort Lauderdale, FL, offering hybrid work and a competitive package. The candidate will design electrical power and lighting systems for complex buildings, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with architecture and MEP teams.

Ideal applicants have 6–8+ years of consulting experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and an EIT/PE licensing preference. A BS/MS in Electrical Engineering is required or preferred.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of engineering consulting experience.
• Experience with electrical power, lighting, fire alarm, and building systems for institutional and commercial buildings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.
• EIT or PE license desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs from concept through construction.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
• Coordinate electrical design with architecture, mechanical and other disciplines.
• Mentor junior staff and lead technical discussions.
• Deliver designs for complex projects including educational, healthcare, hospitality, and civic facilities.
