Job summary

Moog Inc in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Sr. Electrical Design Engineer to own the design lifecycle for complex boards and subsystems. You will interpret requirements, define architectures, produce schematics, and support bring-up in the lab.

The role requires 7+ years of hands-on hardware design, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Cadence Allegro or Altium. Occasional mentoring of junior engineers and coordination with multi-discipline teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 7 years of hands-on hardware/electrical design experience.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Cadence Allegro, Altium).
• Experience with modeling and simulation tools (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, Mathcad).
• Working knowledge of Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analysis and practical mitigation techniques.
• Familiarity with power devices/modules or motor control is a plus.
• Proven ability to produce clear design documentation and to support board bring up and lab debugging.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical design lifecycle for complex boards and subsystems.
• Define system and block-level architectures and schematics.
• Validate designs through analysis and test.
• Provide PCB design guidance (stackup, routing, SI/PI).
• Lead design efforts and mentor junior engineers, coordinate multi-discipline teams.
• Anticipate and resolve novel engineering challenges during bring-up.
