Job summary

Moog Inc. is hiring a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for the Aircraft Group. The role can be based onsite in East Aurora, NY or Torrance, CA, reporting to the Manager of Electrical Engineering.

You will own several projects, lead a diverse team, and drive electronics design to meet cost, quality, and schedule targets for aircraft applications. Responsibilities include proposing new platforms, maturing architectures, and coordinating with systems engineering, mechanical, SW and analog/digital

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
• Familiarity with the design life cycle including design, qualification, and certification of electronics for aircraft applications

Responsibilities

• Contribute to proposals for new aircraft platforms and ensure requirement compliance
• Mature system architecture and requirements with systems engineering
• Develop/maintain electronics requirements
• Design electronics to cost, quality and schedule targets
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers in electronics development
• Help design high-power inverters and gate drives for motors
• Oversee electrical design analyses (hand calculations, simulations)
• Coordinate with customers, programs and vendors
• Generate electronics box test equipment requirements
• Stay current with materials tech and industry design standards
