Job summary

Moog Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Sr. Electrical Design Engineer to own the electrical design lifecycle for complex boards and subsystems. You will interpret requirements, define architectures, create schematics and block diagrams, and guide bring-up in the lab.

The role requires 7+ years of hands-on hardware design, proficiency with Cadence Allegro and Altium, SI/PI analysis, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams in a space and defense context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of hands-on hardware/electrical design experience.
• Self-motivated with strong analytic and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Cadence Allegro, Altium).
• Experience with modeling and simulation tools (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, Mathcad).
• Working knowledge of Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analysis and mitigation techniques.
• Familiarity with power devices/modules or motor control is a plus.
• Proven ability to produce clear design documentation and to support board bring up and lab debugging.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical design lifecycle for complex boards and subsystems.
• Interpret requirements, define system and block architectures, produce schematics and block diagrams.
• Validate designs through analysis and test; produce supporting documentation.
• Provide PCB design guidance (stack‑up, routing, SI/PI) and hands‑on lab support during bring‑up.
• Lead design efforts and mentor junior engineers, coordinate multi‑discipline teams.
