• ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree required.
• 10+ years of professional engineering experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead electrical design for building projects, from concept through construction documents.
• Perform investigations, analyses, studies, scopes, cost estimates, and technical reports.
• Present technical and design solutions directly to clients.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and designers, and review their work for accuracy and code compliance.
• Coordinate electrical design with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and structural disciplines.
• Lead construction administration: submittal reviews, contractor questions, and field inspections and evaluations.
• Organize cost estimates and bid preparation to align with client requirements and budgets.
• Support business development through proposals and client meetings.
• Seal final drawings and documents as Engineer of Record.

ProspectBlue is partnering with an established architecture and engineering firm on the search for a Senior Electrical Engineer. This person will lead electrical design on building projects across the healthcare, education, industrial, and government sectors. They'll guide projects from early design through construction administration, work directly with clients, and serve as the electrical lead alongside project managers, architects, and the other engineering disciplines.

What You'll Do

• Lead electrical design for building projects, including power distribution, lighting, and life safety systems, from concept through construction documents
• Perform investigations, analyses, studies, scopes, cost estimates, and technical reports
• Present technical and design solutions directly to clients
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and designers, and review their work for accuracy and code compliance
• Coordinate electrical design with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and structural disciplines
• Lead construction administration: submittal reviews, contractor questions, and field inspections and evaluations
• Organize cost estimates and bid preparation to align with client requirements and budgets
• Support business development through proposals and client meetings
• Seal final drawings and documents as Engineer of Record

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field, from an ABET-accredited program
• 10+ years of experience as a practicing Professional Engineer
• Active Virginia PE license, or the ability to obtain one through reciprocity within six months of hire
• Deep working knowledge of the NEC (NFPA 70), NFPA 70E, and applicable codes and standards
• Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD
• Experience leading multiple projects at once on tight schedules and budgets
• Strong written and verbal communication, including presenting to owners, clients, and contractors
• Valid U.S. driver's license
