Job summary

gpac is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a reputable multi-discipline engineering firm in Raleigh, NC. You will lead electrical design for complex building projects, working closely with staff engineers to deliver high-quality plans and specifications.

This role emphasizes ownership of design tasks, client coordination, code reviews, budgeting, and mentoring EITs. A strong background in lighting, power distribution, communications, and fire alarm systems is essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• P.E. licensure preferred.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Expertise in building electrical design: lighting, power, communications, and fire alarm.
• AutoCAD and Revit experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineer for multi-discipline projects through all phases.
• Perform electrical design calculations for building projects.
• Coordinate electrical requirements with clients and consultants internal and external.
• Perform code reviews.
• Provide drafting oversight to EITs.
• Establish and maintain electrical fees and budgets for projects.
• Work independently and in a team to develop concepts, designs, drawings, and reports.

As their team continues to grow, they are seeking a highly motivated engineer to join their team to work closely with staff engineers on challenging and exciting projects largely in urban areas. Requirements:

• P.E. licensure, preferred
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering
• AutoCAD & Revit experience, a plus
• 10+ years of experience
• Expertise in all aspects of building electrical design such as lighting, power distribution, communications, and fire alarm

What You Will Do

• Function as lead electrical engineer for multi-discipline projects, through all phases of process
• Perform electrical design tasks and calculations for the electrical designs aspects of buildings
• Coordinating project electrical requirements with each client as well as consultants both in-houst and outside
• Perform code reviews
• Be able to provide drafting tasks as well as oversight assigned to EITs
• Establish and maintain electrical fees and provide budgeting for assigned projects
• Work independently as well as in a multi-discipline team working closely to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports

Compensation/Benefits

• $105-$125k with exceptions with experience level
