Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer/Senior Electrical Engineer to join its building design team in Raleigh, NC.

The role focuses on designing electrical systems for commercial and institutional projects and advancing to lead projects and serve as Engineer of Record as needed. The ideal candidate has 6+ years of building systems experience, a PE license, and proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and Office.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of electrical engineering experience focused on building systems.
• Active PE license with NCEES registration and licensure in at least one U.S. state.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience developing electrical construction documents and specifications.
• Strong communication, project coordination, and leadership skills.
• Healthcare experience is desired, but candidates with strong commercial, institutional, municipal, or other complex building design experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Design lighting, lighting controls, and life-safety systems
• Prepare construction documents, specifications, equipment selections, and electrical models

• Perform field investigations and site visits
• Serve as Engineer of Record on assigned projects

Electrical Engineer | Building Systems | PE | MEP

A well-established and growing engineering firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer / Senior Electrical Engineer to join its building design team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 6+ years of building electrical design experience who wants to take on greater project responsibility, or for a Senior Engineer ready to lead projects, serve as Engineer of Record, and mentor junior staff.

The team works on a diverse range of commercial, healthcare, institutional, municipal, and office building projects, providing exposure to technically challenging and varied building systems.

Responsibilities (commensurate with experience)

• Design electrical systems for commercial and institutional building projects
• Develop normal and emergency power distribution systems, including generators, UPS, and ATS
• Design lighting, lighting controls, and life-safety systems
• Prepare construction documents, specifications, equipment selections, and electrical models
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, mechanical, structural, and other engineering disciplines
• Lead and mentor electrical designers and junior engineers
• Perform field investigations and site visits
• Serve as Engineer of Record on assigned projects
• Provide construction-phase support and assist with installation and operational testing
• Ensure designs comply with NEC, NFPA 70, and applicable codes and standards
• Incorporate energy-efficient and sustainable design practices, including LEED and ENERGY STAR where applicable

Qualifications

• 6+ years of electrical engineering experience focused on building systems
• Active PE license with NCEES registration and licensure in at least one U.S. state
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and Microsoft Office
• Experience developing electrical construction documents and specifications
• Strong communication, project coordination, and leadership skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal project teams
• Healthcare experience is desired, but candidates with strong commercial, institutional, municipal, or other complex building design experience are encouraged to apply.
