Job summary
Rosendin Electric in Sterling, VA is seeking a senior technical role responsible for expediting field issues, providing startup and commissioning oversight, and serving as the technical representative to the Project Manager, QC Managers, and Site Superintendents.
You will design and develop control systems for intra- and inter-switchgear, write SOO, coordinate vendors, and guide relay protection and IEC61850 logic.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- PE license required
- 8+ years of engineering design experience in electrical power systems
Responsibilities
- Design and develop intra-switchgear and inter-equipment control systems
- Design and develop site-wide Sequence of Operation (SOO)
- Coordinate vendor submittals and witness tests to ensure conformance with design-build requirements
- Design and develop safety mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical interlock systems
- Develop system-wide automation using PLC/RTAC controllers including load management and start/stop controls
- Design and develop relay protection and logic settings (MTM transfer schemes)
- Develop IEC61850-based protection and control logics
