Job summary

Tetra Tech Digital Systems in Northern California seeks a senior electrical, instrumentation, controls, and SCADA professional to lead planning, design, programming, commissioning, and project delivery for municipal water and wastewater facilities.

You will guide PLC/SCADA projects, develop process control strategies, perform field assessments, support SCADA modernization, and mentor teams while coordinating with operators and engineering staff to deliver reliable automation solutions.

Qualifications

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
10+ years in industrial control systems and electrical engineering.
California PE license desired or ability to obtain.
Strong background in water/wastewater process controls (PLC, SCADA, HMI, instrumentation).
Experience leading municipal infrastructure projects and client support.
Experience with PLC/SCADA platform migrations and plant automation.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical, instrumentation, controls, PLC, SCADA projects for municipal water and wastewater facilities.
Develop and optimize process control strategies for treatment processes.
Perform field investigations, design reviews, NPDs, and commissioning activities.
Support SCADA modernization and PLC migrations; integrate plant data into dashboards.
Coordinate with operators and multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable control solutions.
Provide technical leadership and client management throughout project delivery.
