Job summary

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an Electrical/Computer Engineer to design, integrate, test, deploy, and support next-generation electrical instrumentation and control systems for the United States Navy. You will work with Navy, shipyards, vendors, and customers on mission-critical shipboard systems.

Responsibilities include improving hardware and software designs, developing procedures, performing tests, conducting evaluations, and producing technical reports.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required.
  • Multiple degree levels accepted with corresponding experience.
  • U.S. citizenship and background check required.

Responsibilities

  • Design, integration, testing, deployment and support of next‑gen electrical instrumentation and control systems.
  • Interact with Navy, shipyards, vendors and customers.
  • Develop and maintain hardware/software system designs and procedures.
  • Perform equipment tests and technical evaluations.
  • Prepare technical reports and communicate findings verbally and in writing.
  • Contribute to mission-critical shipboard systems reliability.
