Job summary

TriSearch in Cypress, CA seeks a Senior Electrical Compliance Engineer to own certification paths for a scaling clean‑energy platform. You’ll work hands-on with schematics, wiring diagrams, embedded controls and test results to translate standards into actionable design requirements.

The role centers on North American certification, with Canadian and European requirements growing as the platform expands. You will engage UL/CSA/Intertek/TÜV labs and help implement scalable certification processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years in electrical engineering, product safety, regulatory compliance or product‑certification.
• Direct experience certifying industrial electrical equipment or power electronics.
• Hands-on ability to review electrical designs, not just manage the process.

Responsibilities

• Establish certification strategies, timelines, test plans and technical deliverables.
• Review designs against product-safety and grid interconnection requirements.
• Evaluate grounding, insulation, creepage, component ratings and wiring practices.
• Identify and resolve design gaps with Engineering.
• Lead engagements with UL, CSA, Intertek, TÜV and other labs.
• Support safety, EMC/EMI and pre‑compliance testing and corrective actions.
• Build repeatable design-for-compliance processes as we scale.
