Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Lead Electrical CAD Engineer in Austin, TX (remote optional) to own electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring designs for mission-critical power and cooling platforms. You will ensure safety, compliance, and alignment with mechanical and PLM data throughout concept, NPI, production, and sustaining phases.

The role requires 8+ years in electrical CAD design, strong tool proficiency, and hands-on ownership of complex multi-variant designs with drift toward production

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
8+ years of hands-on electrical CAD design experience for industrial or infrastructure equipment.
Proficiency in electrical CAD tools and standards (IEC/UL).

Responsibilities

Independently develop and maintain electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring designs for complex industrial systems.
Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, and serviceability requirements across operating conditions.
Coordinate with mechanical layouts, thermal constraints and enclosure architectures.
