Job summary

Galtra Solutions seeks a Senior Electrical Application Engineer to own electrical configuration for prefabricated platforms, bridging customer needs, design, and vendor execution. This role is a senior IC with ownership of electrical design and execution readiness while collaborating across disciplines.

The position emphasizes working remotely within the United States, with up to 25% travel and proximity to data center electrical systems, power distribution, and controls integration.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Mission-critical or data center experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with PDCs, UPS, generators, switchgear.
• Familiar with NEC, IEEE, UL, NFPA 70E.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical application engineering through design freeze and cost-risk tradeoffs.
• Lead development of prefabricated electrical systems (PDCs, switchgear, MCCs, UPS).
• Translate customer requirements into manufacturable, scalable configurations.
• Specify and size breakers, bus duct, transformers, UPS, VFDs, protection devices.
• Produce wiring diagrams, panel schedules, datasheets, and submittals.
• Collaborate with mechanical/controls teams for BAS/BMS integration.
