Job summary

NorthStar Energy Solutions, a Quanta Services Company, seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead electric utility construction projects across the lifecycle. You will provide strategic leadership for project teams, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of utility construction program experience, strong communication and planning skills, and certifications such as PMP or CMRP are preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing electric utility construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction jobsite operations, processes, and safety procedures.
• PMP®, CMRP®, or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients, management, subcontractors, customers, and permitting agencies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong computer aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new software systems and project management tools.
• Effective planning, scheduling, and delegation skills.
• Working knowledge of project billing processes, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of the project lifecycle, from project kickoff through commissioning and closeout.
• Manage project handoffs from the estimating team and establish baseline project schedules.
• Identify schedule constraints, assign responsible parties, and maintain accurate project schedules through weekly updates.
• Proactively manage schedule changes and unplanned project events to minimize impacts on project delivery.
