Job summary

NorthStar Energy Solutions, a Quanta Services Company, seeks an experienced Construction Manager to oversee electric utility construction projects. You will lead field activities, ensure safety, manage schedules and budgets, and coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and utility representatives.

Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, outages coordination, and maintaining project documentation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction management or field leadership in electric utility projects.
• Strong understanding of utility construction methods, safety practices, scheduling, and project execution.
• Transmission and substation construction experience is a plus.
• Experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, and multiple project stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day construction activities on electric utility projects, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
• Coordinate field operations with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and utility representatives.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve field issues that may impact safety, schedule, or quality.
• Ensure all work complies with company safety policies, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain effective communication between field operations and project management teams.
• Support project planning by coordinating labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor activities.
• Assist with project scheduling and monitor progress to help ensure milestones are achieved.
• Coordinate outages, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities with project stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, field documentation, and project records.
