Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Seven years of progressive utility engineering experience with emphasis on power distribution and substation assets.
• Strong data analytics and proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary LIPA technical liaison for asset-related concerns focusing on substation, transmission, and distribution equipment.
• Collaborate with the service provider to deliver asset management programs and grid modernization strategies.
• Review capital projects for asset compatibility with long-term system strategy and reliability needs.
• Evaluate substation layouts, equipment specs, protection and control schemes, and system integration.
• Monitor project execution in schedule, budget, and technical quality; escalate when needed.
• Provide SME on substation equipment and emerging technologies to evaluate performance and life cycle repairs.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure projects are properly executed and fully integrated.
• Support emergency response and restoration efforts via technical guidance.
