General Motors is seeking an Advanced Electric Drive and Power Electronics Engineer for a hybrid role at our Warren, MI site. You will define and document requirements, execute design, analysis, and testing of electric drives and power electronics for vehicle integration, balancing hardware, controls, calibration, and software.

You will lead trade studies, collaborate with engineering teams, and ensure high-fidelity models and designs for a successful hand-off through PPDR.

Qualificações

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in electric drives, motors and power electronics.
• Experience in design, development and testing of electric drives and power electronics.
• Knowledge of EMC in power electronics and electrified vehicle integration.
• Ability to present technical information to leadership and partners.

Responsabilidades

• Lead development and documentation of initial component requirements for electric drives.
• Develop component requirements to meet propulsion system specs using systems engineering.
• Document requirements via RCEs and ICDs from P-STS and VTS.
• Collaborate with Product, Systems, Modeling, Cost, Planning, and Program teams to meet performance and cost targets.
• Lead or coordinate component trade studies to optimize propulsion solutions.
• Ensure high-fidelity analytical models and designs for smooth hand-off at PPDR to Execution teams.
• Support ATW/BA/GPDP gates through collaboration with System Engineering, Safety, and Controls.
