Job summary

General Motors Corporation is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer for High Voltage Power Packs in Warren, MI. Hybrid work arrangement with responsibilities spanning from defining global requirements to leading the hardware integration of high voltage power outlets and 12V systems for vehicles.

You will mentor DREs, oversee DFMEA maintenance, and collaborate with suppliers to drive robust, reusable designs while aligning with program milestones and packaging constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in hardware development for automotive power systems.
• Experience with high voltage power distribution in vehicles and subsystem requirements.

Responsibilities

• Engineer technical solutions for power outlets on current and new programs.
• Create global design guidelines and requirements for outlets.
• Collaborate with exterior design studio and cross-SMT partners for integration and strategy.
• Develop strategy and technical roadmap for high voltage power outlet offerings.
• Provide leadership and support to product development teams as an advocate for outlet technology integration.
